Emerging Leaders in STEM: Hands-On Biotechnology Course
Hello all - passing on a fantastic FREE opportunity this summer for students who identify as women! Please share - info and flyer attached below. Questions should be sent directly to Joe Vincente at East Side Community, JVincente2@schools.nyc.gov.
We have been working for about 7 years to build a new community STEM lab aimed at serving District 1 students and the LES neighborhoods. We are doing a soft launch and a couple of summer programs before a grand opening in the fall.
Here is a sneak peek of the lab space: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/e/2PACX-1vSl8r-cBwaoA-D0OY615kp4FBOxm86rjYvNBJdFRH3BOuuJB7KXZtqQZ1G_Ft1uSC8zckw-lN4vl8Nr/pub?start=false&loop=false&delayms=3000&slide=id.g276604c4670_0_103
(happy to talk more about that some time if you're ever interested in hosting a workshop in the space)
Below and attached is a weeklong biotech camp we are having at the center July 27-31. We have space for 15-20 more future women scientists.
Thank you very much!
